Health ministries around the world have forced tobacco and cigarette manufacturers to write phrases such as "Smoking is very harmful to health" on packs. Recently, an Egyptian company was forced to write "Smoking is a major cause of heart and lung cancer." However, the number of smokers is still increasing.

Regrettably, there are women who have such an ugly and deadly habit. Moreover, some media outlets and drama products portray smoking - for women -  as a symbol of progress, freedom and creativity, rather than educating people that it is one of the ugliest habits created by man, which destroys health, appearance, youth and society.

Smoking Shisha also harms women, not only in terms of health, but also in beauty; as it accelerates the appearance of wrinkles and signs of aging, and causes deformities of embryos, as well as breast cancer according to an extensive study published recently.

Smoking and breast cancer

According to the American Cancer Society, smoking increases the risk of 14 different types of cancer. It is also the responsible for 30 percent of cancer deaths. Breast cancer appears to be the 15th type to be added to the list after a major study published showed that smoking increases the risk of breast cancer by up to 35 percent.

The study was conducted by the Cancer Research Institute in London. The researchers collected data from women for 7 years, by sending questionnaires about the history of smoking and alcohol, and compared between women smokers and former smokers and those who never smoked.

They found that those who began to smoke before puberty were at increased risk of breast cancer, even two decades after giving up smoking. These results are worrying about 20 million smokers in the United States.

Early menopause

Smoking is also associated with early menopause, which increases the risk of heart and bone disease in women.

According to the study by Hong Kong University, published in the medical journal "Minibus", menstrual cycle among non-smoking women usually stops between the age of 46 and 51, while it may stop among smokers between 43 and 50.
