Engaging in Da‛wah work (calling non-Muslims to Islam) is indisputably one of the best deeds in the sight of Allah and is highly recommended in the Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah. Allah Almighty says:

Interpretation of the meaning: {And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims} (41:33).

However, the calling of non-Muslims to Islam today lacks much planning that contributes to propagate Islam to the world in more persuasive and influential ways; Propagating the Islamic religion everywhere is not the main issue, rather it's the methods used to promote the Islamic religion, which must be obvious, persuasive, and influential, in order to answer all questions, and remove all doubts.

If we compare the Da‛wah in the early years of Islam to the situation of Da‛wah now, we will see that the later is poor and ineffective due to lack of interest and failure of individual willpower, to the extent that some non-Muslims living in the Muslim countries have not yet received proper Da‛wah; while the Islamic history has remarked the primary role of the Scholars' contributions to Da‛wah activities who accorded adequate attention to this aspect in their works, which resulted in the rapid spreading of Islam.

Therefore, It is necessary to promote the culture of da'wah among Muslims, through maximizing its importance, and indicating its virtues and effects on the Muslims community, as well as upgrading methods adopted in da'wah.

It is also required from individuals, groups, as well as organizations involved in Da'wah work, to make sure that they pay necessary attention towards their personality building process; i.e. Development of necessary skills, such as communication skills and presentation style, as well as the good behavior; thereby making themselves as excellent examples of moral and ethical behaviors in the Daw'ah work. Also, meeting humanitarian needs of the poor and destitute in Muslim countries should be among the priorities of the Islamic preachers.
