The Description of Hajj and Umrah 1.

Originally, the scholars derived the description of Hajj and Umrah from the popular Hadith of Jabir (Related by Muslim hadith no. 1216).

We have looked into the correct and confirmed reports from the Prophet (peace be upon him) and we arrived at the following summary of the description of Hajj and Umrah:

When the person who intends to perform the rituals arrives at the Meeqaat, it is desired for him to wash, to shave the hair that is needed and legal to be shaved, such as: the Armpit hair, Pubic hair and the Mustache, to cut his nails, the man should strip off his dress, perfume his body before making the intention of entering into the rituals, to put on two white and clean pieces of cloth. The can put on any dress she wishes for Ihram.

The man should cover his shoulders with his upper cloth, and then enter into the ritual he wanted. But it is preferred to enter into the ritual and say the Talbiyah when ready to move. If the Muhrim (person who took Ihram) is afraid of anything that may prevent from completing his ritual, such as sickness, armed robbers or the like he should make a condition of ending it where ever he is prevented.

It is also desired that he turns to the Qiblah when entering into the ritual and say: "O Allah this is a Hajj that has no hypocrisy or reputation in it", after which he should start the Talbiyah:

[لبيك اللهم لبيك, لبيك لا شريك لك لبيك, إن الحمد والنعمة لك والملك لا شريك لك].

"LABBAIK ALLAHUMMA LABBAIK, LABBAIKA LA SHARIKA LAKA LABBAIKA, INNAL HAMDA WAN N'IMATA LAKA WAL MULK, LA SHARIKA LAKA". The companions of the Prophet used to add the following:

"لبيك ذا المعارج, لبيك ذا الفواضل".

"LABBAIKA DHAL MA'ARIJI, LABBAIKA DHAL FAWADILI". And it is Sunnah to say the Talbiyah loudly for men and the women should say it with a low voice.
