A Muslim must know that the Qur'an is the word of Allah, and that it is the great criterion given by Allah to His noble prophet, peace be upon him.  If man wants to feel the impact of the Qur'an then there must be a diversity in its correlation, which is to work with it (the Qur'an). This is because when one works with the Qur'an he would be granted such fear of reverence on hearing it being recited such that he would like to put into practice what was being asked of him in the verses and abstain from that he is asked to refrain from. This makes him closer to his Lord while reciting the Qur'an.

Likewise, our souls should keep high aims following the path of the righteous predecessors. Allah said about his close servants: translated to mean: "When the Verses of the Most Beneficent (Allah) were recited unto them, they fell down prostrating and weeping." (Q. 19 :58)

With this, man transcends from his world to that of these high values which Allah has praised and lauded in the Qur'an and tries to follow, inculcate and imbibe them. It was said that Abu Hazim was once asked by one of the Caliphs of  Banu Umayyah dynasty about his condition, and he said: "Oleader of the righteous, present yourself to the Qur'an". The Caliph asked: "And where do I get that from". And he recited the following verse: (Meaning)

"Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell)." (Q. 82 : 13-14).

Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The shrewd and clever is that who calls himself to account and works for the life after death". He also said: "Judge yourselves before your are judged for today is work without accountability and tomorrow will be accountability without (the opportunity to) work" And the march towards Allah is a labourious one with lots of hardships. Allah says:

"Verily, We have created man in toil." (Q. 90 : 4)

O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). (Q. 84 : 6).

Therefore, standing before Allah is a must-come-to-pass and there are no two ways about it and walking along the path of Allah from the onset till the end entails and needs Allah's help and aid.
