Five Specific Times During Which Supplications are Answered Every Day.

In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. May Allah bestow His peace and blessings upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad, his family and his companions. To proceed;

Supplications are very important for the believer. In fact it is one of the main forms of worship. And the Muslim needs his supplications to be answered always. Therefore, in order for our supplications to be answered, we need to know the best times to make supplications and to also know the right and correct ways of making supplications.

There are five specific times in the day during which Allah answers supplications and the doors of the heavens are opened. It is very vital to know these times so that one can target them with supplications and humility to Allah the Almighty.

In the following paragraphs we will be highlighting in brief these specific times during which Allah answers our supplications and the doors of the heavens are opened.

Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

[إذا نادى المنادي فتحت أبواب السماء, واستجيب الدعاء, فمن نزل به كرب أو شدة فليتحين المنادي].

[When caller calls for the prayer the doors of the skies are opened, and the supplications are answered. So, he who is afflicted with anguish or difficulty let him wait for the caller.] (Sahih Al-Jami'e 803).

It was also reported from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

[إذا نودي للصلاة فتحت أبواب السماء, واستجيب الدعاء].

[When the call for the Prayer is made, the doors of the skies are opened, and the supplications are answered.] (Silsilat Al-Sahihah 1413).

It was also reported from Sahl bin Sa'ad (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

[ثنتان ما تردان: الدعاء عند النداء وتحت المطر].

[Two things will not be refused: The supplication made during Adhan and the one done under rain.] (Sahih Al-Jami'e 3078).

Based on the above, there is an urge for the Muslim to make good use of these blessed times and to go to Mosque early to be in the first row. So also making a lot of supplications especially when the person is in Sujood during these blessed times. For supplications made in sujood during voluntary prayers and after the compulsory prayer are more expected to be answered.

This does not mean that the supplications made during these time must be done inside the Mosque; because the Prophet (peace be upon did not made it a condition for that. That why it is necessary for the women at home to make good use of these virtues times with supplications even if they are not supposed to pray.

So, these are the five Adhan times of the Five compulsory daily prayers every day and night during which the doors of the heavens are opened and Allah answers supplications. Therefore, make sure that you make use of these five times by supplicating to Allah the Almighty.
