Hundreds of Europeans visit the Mecca Museum of Heritage and Antiquities

 As part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to develop the tourism sector, hundreds of Muslims from Germany, Turkey and other countries visited the Mecca Museum of Heritage and Archeology, the Saudi daily Al-Riyadh reported.

This museum was built on the order of the founding King Abdul Aziz Al Saud as the royal palace of hospitality, and then turned into a museum containing the heritage of Mecca and its ancient holdings

On his part, the Director General of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage in Mecca, Faisal Al-Sharif said: "In view of the directives of His Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman to open public and private museums within the tourist routes, the Museum receives many visitors and pilgrims wishing to identify the treasures of this Islamic civilization that the Kingdom seeks to protect and preserve".
